Fellow Speedsters & Road Runners,
Welcome to our newest information outlet! I will be posting on here daily to keep those that want to be informed about the weekly Speed Workouts and also keeping you up to date on all the Blue & Orange stuff.
Feel free to check back often to see what's new.
Welcome:
The Bucks County Speedsters is a group of runners
that meets twice a week to work on our speed,
strength, stamina, and overall performance. Our goal
is to improve runners of all levels. We encourage
anyone interested in running to come out to one of
our workouts and see for yourself that in our
community everyone is welcomed and with our
guidance and your hard work, together we will aspire
to make you faster. We hope that you will lace up
your running sneakers and meet up with us someday
soon.

My head is spinning. Why is it better than FB or Yahoo group? Now Steve and I will have to argue on another medium. Chris, you can run but you cannot hide.
ReplyDeleteEric
Chris, not a bad idea - I do understand how FB does get cluttered by bringing the "whole kitchen sink" in type thing.
ReplyDeleteI have a newbie track meet question. I was wondering how the order of the events is done. Do you do the heats of the 100 followed by the final of the 100 or do you do the heats of all of the events followed by the finals of all of the events? Or what?
ReplyDeletePete,
ReplyDeleteThe events will take place:
3200 Meter Relay (4x800)
100 Meter Dash
1600 Meter Run
400 Meter Relay (4x100)
400 Meter Dash
800 Meter Run
200 Meter Run
1600 Meter Relay (4x400)
There will be NO HEATS! We don't have enough runners this could change in the coming years if it grows. Right now we only have a total of 44 runners. There will be points awarded by sex, but the events might run as coed events. Unless there happens to be a good amount of woman in each event.
I'm still waiting to hear back from Council Rock on what date we have the track. Once I have the date I can make it official and start the planning. That's when I had planned to release the event list and times. Hope this helped and keep checking back for more info.
