This week (second to last week) we conquered Yasso's week five. This week we did 9x800's with 400 rest.
We had 28 runners come out that ran a a handful of other Speedsters who are injured or busy this time of year who miss us so much that they stopped in to say hello and update us on their status, thanks Glenn, Sharon, Tim, and Joe we miss you too.
Those who ran:
Allyson, myself, Paul, John, Shirley, Vee, Jackie, Jack, Eric T., Jay, Dan, Scott, Breandan, Harris, Renee, Rich, Maggie, Mary, Maria, Eddie, Joe Gorberg (1st Time this season. Welcome back!), Dennis, Pete, Eric S., Denise, Charlotte, Mort, and Andy. Thank you to everyone that came out, I know tonight's workout was not easy.
Worth noting that Joe is the 94th person to come out to the Speed workout, the record last year was 95 and Joe came out once this time last year and was 93rd. Almost exactly the same time and place that's crazy.
Final Thought: It's easy to allow negative thoughts to creep into your head during a race, the first step to completing your goal is to allow positive thoughts to out weigh the negative ones. Remind yourself of all that you sacrificed during your training, all the time you put into this, and if you still can't convince yourself, just remember that all those people that you trained with believe in you.
Welcome:
The Bucks County Speedsters is a group of runners
that meets twice a week to work on our speed,
strength, stamina, and overall performance. Our goal
is to improve runners of all levels. We encourage
anyone interested in running to come out to one of
our workouts and see for yourself that in our
community everyone is welcomed and with our
guidance and your hard work, together we will aspire
to make you faster. We hope that you will lace up
your running sneakers and meet up with us someday
soon.
