Record Breaking Day One!

“The Proof is in the pudding.” If that’s true, we’re in for a record breaking season.  We had a total of 25 runners come out this evening to participate in the Speedsters first official workout of the 2014 season.  The most we had prior on a first day workout was 20.   We had a good mix of veteran Speedsters and newbies.  We started with a mile warm-up and some stretches before we ran our traditional 12x300 (100), followed by a 1 mile cool down with some bleacher laps sprinkled in.

Coming out tonight:

Allyson, Lauren Cucuzza (First Timer!  Welcome!), Cherie Long (First Timer! Welcome!), Melissa Trolene, Diane Mortensen (First Timer & New Member!  Welcome!), Bharminder Gill, Brian Abrams, Eric Stern, Cory Steiner, Neil Brown, Christine Lloyd, Carol Albright, Kevin Delaney, Carrie Furaker (First Timer & New Member! Welcome!), Rod Messenger, Jimbo Larson, myself, Harris Brenner, Elliot Brenner (First Timer! Welcome!), Scott Simon, Suzi Beck, Greg Zesinger, Rob Hoy, and Jay Ricco.

Nice job tonight everyone!  We had a fantastic showing at the track, one that I hope continues.  The effort was good as well.  Keep pushing yourselves and you will discover something new.  That new could be a new version of yourself or perhaps a new distance or time.  Next up, Hill Workout on Thursday!

Till we run into each other again…
