Welcome:

The Bucks County Speedsters is a group of runners

that meets
twice a week to work on our speed,

strength, stamina, and
overall performance. Our goal

is to improve runners of all
levels. We encourage

anyone interested in running to come
out to one of

our workouts and see for yourself that in our

community everyone is welcomed and with our

guidance and
your hard work, together we will aspire

to make you
faster. We hope that you will lace up

your running
sneakers and meet up with us someday

soon.

I Fartlek. How About You?

Tonight we did something a tad different.  We climbed to the top of Agony Hill (a 1 mile climb), but this time we did it fartlek style.  The group synchronized their watches and every minute I would yell out "DIG!" and the group would yell back "DEEP!" this allowed everyone know that we were resting or accelerating.  It got really interesting when we climbed the hill a second time, but this time accelerating for 1 minute with a 30 second rest.   We even had some runners toss their cookies, or should I say Easter candy at the top of the second climb.

Fartleking tonight:

Kevin, Tim, Neil, Bharminder, Mike, Hilda, Carol, Michele, Carrie, Steve I, Barb, our newest member Brian Loftus, Mary, Melissa, myself, Glenn, and Rob.

Way to dig deep tonight Speedsters!  I hope you all had as much fun as I did.

Remember that we have our monthly Bread Run this Saturday at Great Harvest Bread Co.  in Newtown at 8AM.

Till we run into each other again...
