“Congratulations. I knew the
record would stand until it was broken.”
-Yogi Berra
If you made
it out to tonight’s workout you are officially apart of Bucks County Speedsters
history. We finally reached the 30’s for
attendance! We had only hit the 29 mark
twice (once at the track and once at the hills) in our two years as an official
club. To have as many runners come out
as we did tonight is incredible. As
goofy as it might sound, I was actually a tad emotional over the record breaking
size of our group this evening. The
most touching part of tonight was hearing so many different voices offering words
of encouragement to each other.
Tonight’s hill in my opinion is the
toughest hill in Tyler Park. I know this
was up for debate after the workout. The
great thing about Tyler is that there are so many challenging hills, of
different lengths, making a great debate possible. If you didn’t come tonight, or maybe you did
and you ran out of fingers and toes to help with the counting, and your curious
to know what the total number was…(drum roll please)…We had 37 total runners
come out and work the Covered Bridge hill.
I’m thinking of making every Thursday a Covered Bridge Hill workout…
Can we hit
40?
Coming out tonight:
Allyson, Tim, Jay, Tom, Cece, Bharminder, Harris, Lauren,
Brian, Steve Hallman (First Timer!
Welcome!), Glenn, Christine, Jeff, Renee, Christa, Barb, Neil, Carol,
Nick, Samariah, myself, Charlotte, Mary, Kevin, Melissa, Matt, Mike, Scott,
Greg, Jimbo, Donna, Cherie, Pearl, Denise, Anthony, Michele, and Seymour.
Way to come out and push each other through a difficult
workout.
Workout:
1 mile warm-up
Covered Bridge Repeats (6x400 (400))
1 mile cool down
Next up:

Till we run into each other again…
